Chertanovo, who gave the name street of Moscow, called the village, standing on the Chertanovke river approximately where today - the metro station Chertanovskaya. In etymology the name "Chertanovo" in is associated with the words "devil", "draw". Also in Baltic languages means "forest" and "site to be cut down."
